U Win Aung, the News and Information Officer from the Myanmar Equestrian Federation, announced the postponement of the FEI One Star Qualification Round-3, a long-distance equestrian event scheduled for 30 May, to the end of June due to the hot weather.
“Clubs intending to take training for the competition must register a month in advance. While the registration list is still incomplete, several clubs have already signed up. Competition time has not yet arrived, and currently, five to ten clubs are registered with the Federation,” stated U Win Aung.
The FEI One Star Qualification Round 1 covers a 50-kilometre journey, while Round 2 extends to 75 km. Round 3, however, spans 85 km. Equestrian competition, recognized as an Olympic sport, has seen success in international arenas. The Myanmar Equestrian Federation aims to foster emerging talent and enable participation in the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand in 2025 through this competition. — ASH/MKKS
