Prime Minister to receive Iceland’s President

SWEDEN, May 2 - On Tuesday 6 May, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will receive Iceland’s President Halla Tómasdóttir for a bilateral meeting at Rosenbad. A joint press conference will be held after the meeting. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the President’s State Visit at the invitation of His Majesty the King.

The meeting agenda includes cooperation between Sweden and Iceland to continue supporting Ukraine, strengthen joint resilience and promote trade and investment.

Following the meeting at Rosenbad, Mr Kristersson and President Tómasdóttir will hold a joint press conference, which will be broadcast live on the Government website. The press conference will be held in English.

Time: 6 May 2025, 15.00
Location: Journalists who have registered in advance may attend the Press Centre at Rosenbad. Entrance: via Drottninggatan 1.

Photo opportunity: There will be a photo opportunity in conjunction with Mr Kristersson welcoming Ms Tómasdóttir to Rosenbad (handshake).
