SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A Sumter man is facing four counts of attempted murder after deputies say he opened fire on a home on Sunday.

Ronnie Dewayne Smith, 21, was arrested by deputies on Wednesday.

Deputies say on June 17, Smith reportedly shot multiple rounds into a home located on the 400 block of Holloway Street. Four people were in the house at the time of the shooting.

Investigators believe the motive for the shooting was bad blood between Smith and one of the people inside the home.

The shooting was captured on surveillance video; however, the video was not released by authorities since it is being used as evidence.

Smith is being held at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
