Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2017 /Kabar/. Conference on diplomacy in healthcare system was organized in Bishkek. Deputy Minister of Health Oleg Gorin read out Kyrgyz Minister of Health Talantbek Batyraliev’s statement to the participants:” The concept of diplomacy in the modern world is changing; health is becoming important in foreign policy, security, trade and economic relations of countries”. The head of the Ministry of Health specified that health is one of the elements of the strategic achievement agreed within the framework of sustainable development 2020.
"Emerging problems require globalization. International health negotiations acquire great importance, which require new skills in conducting diplomacy in the field of health protection," quoted Gorin of Batyraliev’s message. The head of the Ministry of Health stressed that in the global healthcare system the state should take into account health issues when it develops foreign policy measures.
"Whereby the World Health Organization (WHO) remains in the center of diplomacy. We highly appreciate the contribution and support of WHO in the search for new approaches to health promotion,”he said. The Minister stressed that the current situation in our healthcare system requires building up human resources for global health diplomacy through training specialists.
